The ancient canopy bends down to greet ,
The morning dust beneath our passing feet .
With every breath , a silent vow is made ,
A steady warmth within the deepest shade .
The forest does not ask what we are worth ,
It simply holds us to the living earth .
It catches every tear within the moss ,
And heals the quiet hours of our loss .
With open arms of cedar, pine, and stone ,
It whispers close that we are not alone .
A mother’s touch in every rising sun,
To remind us that the soul and soil are one .
